About

Creator | Host Photographer  Spoke Magazine & Podcast

We asked 500 people to describe Bhargavi in 3 words and 1 of them said: design-snob, control-freak, and cat-lover – what the rest-said, we can’t repeat here. But what we can say is that without her gritty and tenacious spirit, Spoke would never have happened…and without her perfectionist mind, it would have happened in a fraction of the time.

Bhargavi has trained as a photographer and method actor in Toronto and Los Angeles. Her work has been published in many countries including the UK, Germany, S. Africa, and Canada – in prestigious publications including the BBC and The Guardian. ‘Printed Violation’, her social campaign highlighting various forms of sexual abuse against women was exhibited at the 2019 United Nation’s Beijing +25 regional review meeting held in Geneva.

Through her work, Bhargavi champions the many causes close to her heart – animal rights, science, feminism…and at Spoke, she draws on her passion for portraiture to create still images that run deep, and stand apart.

“As a trained method actor from LA’s Lee Strasberg School, one would expect more of a method to her madness.” - Awantika
